The Fairfield Gaelic Pipe Band, sponsored by the Gaelic American
Club of Fairfield, Connecticut, was organized in 1997.
The band appears annually at the Fairfield Irish Festival and the
Westport Italian Festival; the St. Patrick’s day parades in Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Milford and Greenwich Connecticut;
the Fairfield and Trumbull Memorial Day Parades; The Southport Blessing of the Fleet: lobster festivals, municipal celebrations,
commemorations and various community service programs.
In 2001 and 2002, the band was invited to march with the Ancient Order
of Hibernians in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day parade, and in 2007, we’ll parade in Boston .We also helped
to set a record on April 6, 2002 in New York City’s Tartan Day Parade, and again in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2005, by
marching with 10,000 pipers and drummer from around the world to raise money for cancer research.
We welcome your inquiries about engaging us for welcoming your guests
into a formal meal, playing around the tables after dinner, or playing in the background during a reception or at the close
of an event….and don’t forget, we are extremely effective in attracting attention at a trade show or sales promotional
event.
The band meets every Monday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 at the Congregational
Church on Beach Road, Fairfield, Connecticut .
